Make an Aldo Leopold Bench

Class Description

In this class you'll learn to use a few of the main tools in the community woodshop including the miter saw, drill/drill press and other hand tools. You'll go home with a finished bench ready to be placed along a path to look at the view or birdwatch. This class will take 3-4hrs. No experience required. Instructor: Peter Wood Bio: I’ve worked in most aspects of residential construction for thirty years. For the last ten years I’ve been managing construction activities for Habitat for Humanity in Jackson. Looking forward to sharing some wood working skills at the Community Workshop.

Cancellation Policy

All classes must have at least two people signed up in order to run. If your class is canceled you will be offered a refund or you can apply the value of that class that is canceled toward another class. Cancellations requested any time after enrollment will receive a refund minus a 15% cancellation and processing fee. Cancellations one week or less before the class start date are only eligible for a credit of 65% of your course fee. That credit can be applied toward a future class or membership. Cancellations less than 24hrs in advance are not eligible for a refund or credit.
