About the Event
Class Description:
In this 2-Part class you'll use a few of the main tools in the community woodshop to make a nest box for American Kestrels. The class will include pointers on when and where to mount your next box.
Schedule:
Class #1: Thursday, July 30th, 5:30-7:30pm
Class #2: Tuesday, August 4th, 5:30-7:30pm
No experience required.
Must be 18+ (14+ allowed if accompanied by parent or guardian)
Instructors:
Becky Hawkins: Aside from my healthcare career, I worked for 8 years at a local cabinet shop in the 80’s. I have volunteered at Habitat for Humanity construction sites, helping teach other volunteers, as well as doing building projects for Teton Raptor Center. I look forward to sharing skills and enthusiasm for woodworking.
Peter Wood: I’ve worked in most aspects of residential construction for thirty years. For the last ten years I’ve been managing construction activities for Habitat for Humanity in Jackson. Looking forward to sharing some wood working skills at the Community Workshop.
