About the Event
Prerequisite: Intro to Machine Sewing Class or similar experience. You know how to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, sew lines, etc.
Class Description:
In this class, Tatyana will teach the classic Cathedral Window quilt technique using recycled denim and colorful fabric scraps. Students will learn how to cut, fold, and stitch denim shapes to frame vibrant fabric "windows," creating a unique, durable quilt block. Use denim scraps or old jeans along with 5" fabric squares to create blocks that can be expanded into projects of any size. Perfect for quilters, upcyclers, and anyone who loves creative fabric reuse!
By the end of the class, participants will complete several quilt blocks and have the skills to continue making additional blocks on their own. They may be able to complete a small table runner or bed runner or a small quilt that they can turn into a larger quilt at home.
