Born and raised in small-town Appalachia, Dan graduated from Virginia Tech in 2011 with a degree in Communications, minoring in Philosophy and Creative Writing.

In 2013, Dan moved to Jackson for what was planned as “a summer stay.” Captivated by the spontaneous, open-minded, and free-spirited community, he decided to make Jackson his home, where he has lived for the past 11 years.

Dan is the owner of Shadowglow Media, a small video production company dedicated to balancing client projects with independently produced work. The company focuses on fulfilling clients' creative needs while also pursuing projects that emphasize authenticity and originality.
