A Wonder Institute collaboration with Teton Science School

This collaboration aims to cultivate exceptional sewing skills and essential business acumen, opening doors to future employment opportunities both on and around the Wind River Reservation.
A powerful partnership is developing between the Wonder Institute and Wyoming Indian High School's NASA Soft Goods Sewing classes, weaving together skill development and entrepreneurial spirit. We're collaborating to create a unique business opportunity for these talented students. Leveraging their sewing expertise, honed through instruction from Kat Jacaruso of Rip 'N Stitch and teacher Scott Krassin, they're crafting high-quality tote bags, to sell throughout Jackson Hole. The WIHS Entrepreneurship class provides invaluable mentorship, guiding them through the intricacies of running a small business.
All proceeds from the sales will directly benefit the student artisans, empowering them to take ownership of their creations and build financial independence. This collaboration aims to cultivate not only exceptional sewing skills but also essential business acumen, opening doors to future employment opportunities both on and around the Wind River Reservation. We believe this initiative will foster a sustainable model for student entrepreneurship, demonstrating the transformative potential of combining craftsmanship with business savvy.
